Brother Mark Floreanini, O.S.B.

Brother Mark L. Floreanini, O.S.B., is a son of the late Bruno and Betty Floreanini. He attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School, Alliance, Ohio; and is a 1974 graduate of West Branch High School, Beloit, Ohio.

He received an associate degree in fine art from Sinclair Community College in 1987. He earned a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Saint Vincent College in 2001, a master of arts degree from Saint Vincent Seminary in 2004, and a master of fine arts degree from the Savannah College of Arts and Design in 2005.

He made his simple profession of vows on July 11, 1998, and solemn profession of vows on July 11, 2001.

He was appointed to the Saint Vincent College faculty in 2005. He has served as an assistant in the Archabbey Vocations Office since 200?. In 2010 he was named assistant junior master for the Archabbey, and served as acting junior master in 2011-2012.

Since 2006 he has served as a consultant to the Basilica Gift Shop. He creates stained glass windows, paints, and does various other forms of art for Monastery Artisans, including spinning wool and crocheting. He is a member of the Latrobe Art League, Latrobe Art Center, and the Loyalhanna Spinners.
